The Shaka is the bright one. Light, airy tones and a breezy, open feel, on a hillside in Wimberley, Texas. It is one of three authentic African safari tents at Spoon Mountain Glamping, each with its own private pool. Chisum is dark and cozy, Kingfisher is the roomiest. Shaka is the one that fills with morning light. INSIDE A roomy sleeping space with a king bed, a seating area and a kitchenette. The bathroom has a custom walk-in shower and vanity. The kitchenette holds a Nespresso machine, microwave, mini-refrigerator, sink and dishes, with complimentary pods and teas. WiFi covers the whole property. A split AC and heat system keeps the tent where you want it, however hot it gets outside. OUTSIDE Every tent gets its own private deck. Yours has a soaking tub and your own pool, so the water is never shared and never booked up. Coffee in the morning, wine while the sun goes down over the Wimberley Valley. THE BOMA Our shared pavilion has a fire pit, hot tub, infrared sauna, outdoor games, covered seating, a larger kitchen area and a laundry room. Meet the other glampers there or stay on your own deck. Absolutely loved our stay at the Shaka tent! The area is nice. Very short drive into Wimberley for great restaurants and things to do. There was a little bit of noise from the nearby highway and the neighboring property but was still 100% worth the trip and the price. Very private and secluded from inside the deck. We loved our stay! We will absolutely be coming back in the future!

Staying with Spoon Mountain was an absolute delight. We celebrated our 28th Wedding Anniversary and we had a relaxing weekend. It was a perfect choice to just unwind, walk around the town, and even spent a few hours at Market Days. The attention to detail was impressive as we had everything we could need or want.

My wife and I absolutely loved our time here and will definitely return. We needed an escape for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary while we’re both in the middle of huge stressful projects at work and we chose this location because of the outdoor shower and beautiful pictures. What we never expected was how Yvette goes above and beyond for anybody that stays. She had excellent recommendations for local things to do and all instructions on an easy to access website, constant communication that we admittedly needed at the last minute, excellent goodies and games available, and a partnership with a closeby inn that had a large pool and great drinks. We actually even got to meet her and her husband and they were super kind people! My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Shaka Tent as it had everything we needed to just spend time with each other and enjoy each other’s company in privacy. We honestly didn’t want to leave and will definitely plan an excuse to come back. Thank you!
