The reason people book
Most glamping sites give you a communal pool and a queue. Every tent here has its own, behind its own privacy fence, steps from your bed. Swim at midnight. Swim in a robe. Nobody is going to walk past.
Beside it sits an outdoor soaking tub for two, so you can go from pool to hot water to bed without ever putting shoes on.
Choose your tent
Imported from South Africa and set into the oaks on our hilltop. Same private pool and soaking tub in all three. What changes is the character inside.
Bright & designer
On the end nearest the fire pit. White furnishings, light wood and brass. Deer graze past the deck in the morning.
Leather & wood
The middle tent, darker and warmer. Leather seating, earthy wood, a handmade headboard and unusual light fixtures.
Step-free access
Wheelchair access without feeling clinical: parking right outside, a long ramp to the deck and an extra-large roll-in shower.
Every tent: outdoor soaking tub, kitchenette, split AC and heat, two-night minimum. Pool heating $60 per day.

Where you are
Thirty-seven miles southwest of Austin sits Wimberley: a creekside town square full of shops and restaurants, and two of the most famous swimming holes in Texas, Blue Hole and Jacob's Well, both on the clear, cool Cypress Creek.
There are wineries and breweries, hiking and biking trails, the Blanco River, the Emily Ann Theatre, and Wimberley Market Days, the second largest flea market in the state. You are close enough to town to walk into dinner, far enough up the hill to hear nothing at night.
Your hosts
We have lived, worked, raised two children and run businesses in Wimberley for more than 25 years. After years with a successful med spa next door, we bought the land behind it and spent a long time planning a place where couples could actually reconnect.
We found the right safari tents in South Africa, shipped them here, and built this hillside retreat around them. Everything you find inside was chosen by us, one piece at a time.
