Are facials or other spa services available?

Med Spa services are not available at your tent, but you may book a service at our spa, located within walking distance. Book well in advance, as our estheticians are often busy with regular clients. Call 512-847-9000 for Med Spa scheduling.

Location, Policies & Safety

Where is Wimberley, and how far is it from Austin?

Wimberley is in the Texas Hill Country, about 45 miles (roughly an hour) southwest of Austin and about 60 miles (about 90 minutes) from San Antonio. We feel lucky to offer glamping near Austin and help guests enjoy the beauty of the area.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is after 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM.

Do you allow children or pets?

To maximize everyone's experience, we do not allow children or pets. Service animals are welcome with proper documentation. Thank you for understanding.

Are there quiet hours?

For the enjoyment of our neighbors and guests, quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Is there a place to shelter during a storm?

Yes. We have a facility down the hill we can use during inclement weather if needed. Our tents are waterproof and firmly secured to the decking and can sustain high winds, though they may sway in heavier winds, which is normal. If there's a bad-weather alert or you feel uncomfortable, we'll provide shelter.

Are there critters at the glamping site?

Because of our Hill Country location, you'll likely see deer, birds, and other critters, but nothing to worry about.

Is there river access?

Spoon Mountain does not have river access. To swim, we suggest reservations at Blue Hole, a beloved Wimberley swimming hole, or see our things to do page. Note: Jacob's Well no longer allows swimming, but you can hike the area.
