Whether it's a romantic escape or a girls-only getaway, the Chisum is a couples safari tent built for two on a hillside in Wimberley, Texas. It is one of three authentic African safari tents at Spoon Mountain Glamping, each 450 sq ft of canvas set on its own private deck, and each with a private pool. Chisum is the cozy one. Dark wood tones, charcoal grays, leather seating and rustic hunter-style details, warm rather than bright. INSIDE The king bed has a custom-designed headboard, luxury linens and plenty of plump pillows. No rolling out dusty sleeping bags. The bathroom has a custom-built walk-in shower, a custom vanity, plush towels and robes. The kitchenette holds a Nespresso machine, tea kettle, microwave, mini-refrigerator with freezer, sink and dishes, with complimentary Nespresso pods and teas. A split AC and heat system keeps the tent at whatever temperature you want, however hot it gets outside. WiFi covers the whole property. OUTSIDE The best part of glamping is being outdoors, so every tent gets its own wraparound deck. Morning coffee on the front deck. 30th Anniversary Stay

OMG! Glamping at Spoon Mountain was the best place we could have picked for our 30th anniversary get away!! They arranged for wine, cake, flowers and a banner to be inside the tent when we arrived. The tent was AMAZING! The sheets and robe were the softest things EVER!! The private pool and soaking tub were just what we needed. We even loved the swings down at the pavilion. There is nothing we would have changed about our stay. We will be back! Thank you for making our special weekend even more special!

Yvette was an incredible host! The tent was the perfect place to spend my birthday weekend. The first day my husband and I sat on the patio for 4 hours just watching the sunset with drinks and music. It allowed us to slow down and just enjoy the company. The shower spray was amazing as was the outdoor bathtub! I got a massage the morning of my birthday and was the perfect way to start the day. Yvette also had a birthday sign, flower and cake available for my birthday which was the perfect touch. The charcuterie board they provided was perfect to enjoy on the patio with some champagne. My only complaint was a rooster that woke us up very very early. We had to use earplugs and the sound machine to drown out some of the car noice and rooster crowing.

This is true Glamping! Beautiful tent like cabin with wrap around deck. Luxe well decorated cabin with lots of upgraded amenities, awesome linen, almost 360 deg of windows, back patio with outdoor soaker tub. There’s a grill & an awesome hammock system. Sunrise & sunsets are beautiful from the deck. We wanted to get away & unplug & reconnect. Perfect place for it. It’s a few miles from center of town. Wimberly is such a cute town. Shops are one of a kind especially the plant/ succulent store. Love that! There’s plenty of restaurants although the ones we tried were just just mid. I highly recommend this airbnb.

It is conveniently located to the shops and restaurants. We had time to visit Fredericksburg, San Marcus and New Braunfels. The sunset is lovely in the evening and it is peaceful on the patio in the morning.
