In the press
Spoon Mountain, As Seen On
Television crews, travel filmmakers and local storytellers keep finding their way up the hill. Here is what they took home.
Spoon Mountain Glamping sits on a hilltop above Wimberley with three adults-only safari tents, and the coverage started arriving early. FOX 7 Austin brought a crew out in 2021 to show viewers what a tent with its own private pool actually looks like. Texas Lifestyle Magazine featured the property in its #TXAway series the following year. Hill Country Sun ran a piece called An Out-of-the-Ordinary Getaway in its Welcome to Wimberley issue, and Austin.com put Spoon Mountain on its shortlist of glamping within easy reach of the city.
Alongside the press, the recognition that mattered most came from the people who live here. In 2022 readers of the Wimberley View voted Spoon Mountain Glamping the Best Vacation Rental in town, an award decided by locals rather than by an algorithm or a paid listing. Next door, our sister business The Med Spa has held the Best Day Spa title since it opened in 2016.
Everything collected below links back to the original broadcast, article or film. Where a publisher has since retired a story from its own site, we have linked an archived copy so you can still read it in full.
