Tucked into the Cedars on our little hilltop, Spoon Mountain Glamping provides total comfort, relaxation and romance.
The beautiful, custom-decorated space includes an inviting king-size bed, cozy seating area and amazing spa bathroom creates an intimate setting, perfect for sharing laughs, enjoying each other and making memories together.
Each authentic Safari tent has hardwood floors, gorgeous rugs, custom light fixtures, stylish seating, and glamourous details, while also providing opportunities for experiencing nature – watch the deer and birds with your morning Nespresso, toast the setting sun on the front porch, enjoy a private bubble bath under the stars on the back deck.

Each tent is uniquely decorated with handcrafted furniture, antiques, luxury bedding, and beautiful custom decor. They all come with the exact amenities. Kingfisher is wheelchair accessible with a ramp and other features.
Kingfisher
With up-close parking, a long ramp, and an extra-large shower, we’ve designed Kingfisher as a wheelchair-accessible glamping space that is perfect for everyone!
Chisum
The middle tent, Chisum, is decorated a bit more masculine, with leather furniture, lots of earthy wood tones, a large handmade wood headboard and unique art and light fixtures.
Shaka
Located on the end, nearest the fire pit, Shaka is a glamper’s dream space with bright white furnishing, light wood tones and brass accents. Deer can be spotted grazing nearby.

Thirty miles southwest of Austin is the quaint little village of Wimberley, known for it’s creekside town square full of shops and dining, and having not one, but two of the most famous swimming holes in Texas, “Blue Hole” and “Jacob’s Well,” both on the clear and cool Cypress Creek.
Wimberley is also the home to Wimberley Market Days, the 2nd largest Flea Market in the state, Emily Ann Theater, wineries and breweries, hiking and biking trails, the Blanco River, multiple restaurants, amazing views and now, to Spoon Mountain Glamping.
About us
We are Yvette & Ken and we’ve lived, worked, raised our two children and owned businesses in Wimberley for more than 25 years and have loved every minute of it. After running a successful Med Spa, we had the opportunity to buy the space behind it that has now become Spoon Mountain Glamping
We spent years dreaming and planning a space where other couples could reconnect and rejuvenate. We found the perfect Safari tents in South Africa and had them shipped here where we created this hillside retreat.
Our goal is to provide a unique, private, and unforgettable experience for our guests.

"We had a wonderful, cozy weekend here. The temperatures dropped almost to freezing which we did not expect, but we’re kept so warm in the Shaka tent. The hot tub in the boma was our favorite part of the trip because the weather was so cold and perfect! It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. My husband kept saying how the place felt like an upscale hotel. Appreciated all of the attention to detail. Oh and the short drive into town makes things easy! Definitely recommend 🙏🏻"
The tent is incredible in and of itself, but the attention to detail is meticulous. The owners thought of everything you need to enjoy peaceful couples time. The beds are comfortable, and the linens are high quality. Even the furniture on the front and back patio is what you would find in a designer magazine.
One of the most amazing properties we have ever stayed at. The house/tent was so amazing and cozy if it weren’t for the need to eat and desire to do a little shopping in town we would probably have stayed on the property the whole time. Absolutely beautiful, we have already been sharing with our friends and we look forward to coming back soon!
